I see I haven’t posted in about 5 months, sounds about right… so what about the bees, boats and boys??
Well, respectively, we’re back down from 5 to 3 hives going into the winter (probably 2), we have 4 strips to go on the boat, and most importantly, Teddy’s 9 months old with 5 teeth!
We’ve been pretty busy with yardwork, odds and ends, and i’m typically less inclined to bury myself in the workshop in the summer when it’s nice out, and my boat progress has shown… Not that we haven’t been planning and scheming!
Here’s a pic from May 18th, which according to my math is 5 months ago…. which means I’m averaging a cedar strip once every 5 days or so? Not great!
So I’ve got some catch up posts to do…. there’s mounting the bottom board on the strongback, installing ribs, installing stems, fairing, then installing the strips. The weather’s changing which means my interest is picking back up in earnest… at least once I get out from under all these leaves…..
